Here in the Pacific Northwest

Good evening.....
Here we are in the Pacific Northwest. We have covered a lot of territory in the last 4 weeks since we moved out of our home. Now home is wherever we happen to be. We had a long day on Tuesday, flying from Philadelphia to Houston and then to Seattle. We were on planes more than 8 hours total and we sat in airports for almost 5 hours. I can now say I have been to Texas, Mark's favorite state. We expected cooler weather here in Lacey, WA but like each state we have been in, we had a surprise. It has been very hot here. No air conditioner because, just like Santa Maria, it is only needed a few days of the year. We happen to be here those few days. We were able to celebrate Kayla's 17th birthday with her. Friday night she accompanied the rest of the guys to a AAA ballgame in Tacoma. Christine and I went to Coldstone's for dinner.

Yesterday we went to Mt. St.Helen's. When we were here in 1999 we went to the visitor's center that told all about the volcano, but it was on the other side of the mountain. This time we were able to see the area where the volcano blew it's top. Last night the family went to the airport to pick up their foreign exchange student from Germany. I think she will love living here with the WA Graffs.
Dennis will take us to the airport in the morning so we can do the last leg of our 8 airplane trip and then it is only 1 week until we enter the MTC.

Love and prayers,
Mom
